Illinois also consider traffic violations misdemeanors. If you dont pay a ticket and then you get pulled over, you go to jail.
No, Illinois considers the traffic violation an infraction. The act of not paying the infraction results in a misdemeanor. The initial traffic citation itself is not a misdemeanor.
