That's true, no doubt. But then again, there's all sorts of things people can do to attract weirdos, but they still do them anyway. Like being a porn star, for instance.
There's harmlessly attracting weirdo's and then there's encouraging them. I think this falls into the second category.
Ceara, I can see where you're coming from here too, I'm sure pornstars attract lots of creepy, dangerous individuals themselves.... I'm sure this carries over to mainstream public figures too, it's not just about porn people.
Although, I think Moxie brings up a very good point... if these guys are buying things for someone that they're fixated on, then there's a good chance that they feel they're owed something in return.
What are the chances of one of these wackos snapping and tracking someone down? Probably very low, but it's still a real risk.
