Yesterday I began drinking arounde noon. I blacked out early on but I remember crying and being extremely angry. Apparently I made several alarming phonecalls to my roomate who was at work at that time. She was concerned enough to lewave work early and come home. This is what she found: Me, nude, passed out face down on the livingroom floor, in a puddle of my own urine, my stereo smashed, several cds broken to shards including the titles 'Mahler, Symphony No. 9, Leonard Bernstein Conducts the Berlin Philharmonic' and 'Tom Waits' Nighthawks at the Diner'. She angrily sent me off to my bedroom and spent nearly an hour cleaning up after me, scrubbing piss out of the carpet. She has left for work again this morn. She left me a Sticky Note on this computer which listed the griervences and their monetary value. She also recommended AA/institutionalization. This is the person I truly am.

this is fucking awesome, can this be a thread listing all the problem drinkers, fwiw i woke up yesterday a 6 am, i have no roommate so thats a headstart, had a glass of wine, went to a casino ate pancakes and sausage, came home watched smokin aces' mehhh, drank more passed out, woke up around 1 pm, talked to my mom read her the mothers day card i bought but didnt mail, realized i was out of wine, reassessed my life, bet the dodgers run line +125 profited, had girlfriend come over bring me food and vodka, had sex ate a sandwich, watched the de la hoya replay in hd, bet manchester united under before i passed out, woke up girlfriend was gone thankfully, thought about having a beer at 8 am, held off till 9 15,when i won my soccer bet, so in conclusion i had finals 3 days ago and now am completely falling apart.
the pissing yourself thing thats to bad, but weve all woken up on the floor at one time or another, i hope your not to lonely and you should take care of yourself getting pancreatitis sucks i heard.
and if this was a sophisticated attempt at levelling, then well played.

Travis, you were still reasonably sober when you sent me the Gia Jordan note at 1:36 p.m. There were only two spelling errors in that post. Things must have gone downhill very quickly after that.

You also can just say to yourself, "I choose not to drink today". If you feel like it then say the same thing tomorrow. Etc. However, if you continue, there is most likely something else bothering you in your life if you like getting hammered that much.

BOSTON -- A Haverhill, Mass., family is still a little shaken after a frightening encounter in their own home over the weekend.
Catty Edem woke up Thursday morning to find a strange man passed out on her 5-year-old son's bedroom floor.
She said her husband went into the room and grabbed their son, then called police.
When police showed up, they woke up Jesse Beaulieu, 21, and arrested him.
The intruder allegedly told police he was drunk and stumbled into the wrong house. He lives a couple of streets over.
The Edems question the story.
They also said that just minutes after the arrest, the suspect's father showed up begging police to release Beaulieu.
Beaulieu was charged with breaking and entering and trespassing.

What you are describing sounds like advanced stages of serious alcoholism and it's vital that you seek help and support as soon as possible.
What seems to work best in most cases is a combination of therapy and AA. If you are not religious, there are certain AA meetings that approach it in a non-denominational manner.
Remaining isolated and relying on one person (your roommate) is not enough. I don't mean to sound preachy, but it sounds like you are dealing with some really difficult issues.
A good sponsor can make a big difference.

there's also smart recovery which is CBT-based and totally god-free. I've had substantial success with it compared to AA/NA, the only issue is finding meetings outside of ny/boston/dc/ca
