This actually does happen rather often, usually to the homeless. Although it was a fairly big story earlier this year when a stripper from the local Crazy Horse passed out on someone's front porch and froze to death.

For the natives (ie. Eskimo's) who go bar-hopping downtown, simply crossing the road seems to be a particularly hazardous situation. It's like they have some sort of internal timing mechanism that causes them to stumble out into a crosswalk just as the light turns green for opposing traffic.

Me and a friend had to help a wasted native woman out of a crosswalk in the middle of this past winter who was completely laid out. The kicker was that she was clearly wearing adult diapers under her clothing. And she wasn't old, either. You have to have a serious drinking agenda planned out if you decide to go out wearing adult diapers. Although, it is probably a good deterrent against rape if you're wearing a diaper full of piss & shit. The rape & murder of native Alaskan women is also a big problem up here.
