there does seem to be a tendency to want to single out one or two individuals as being deviant, rather than dealing with larger problems. if some kid shoots up his school, then we rush to blame the parents, or whoever sold him the gun, or simply lay it on the kid for being simply weak and crazy. no doubt there is some truth to this, but very few people ever question the existing culture that accepts and even encourages kids singling out and victimizing other kids. this is similar, as individual porn stars are singled out and hounded for not participating in interracial sex, yet few question what seems to be an ugly tendency towards racism in the entire business. one whore being prejudiced isn't that great of a problem. an entire industry is.
