I don't know Luke personally, but his feelings for the buisiness seem conflicted and self loathing at best. I don't find it all that implausible that Luke could walk into some porn party one night and in his Aussie accent say "smile for my camera of death" and start shooting up a room full of pornographers whores and hangers on.
