Let me reverse the argument and tell you that this place is not fun to contribute to any more. The posts are either one sentence of mindlessness, or a novel of mindlessness. I like to think that I actually tried to say something either funny, insightful, informative, or inflamatory most of the time. All I have seen the last few weeks are some mindless "you suck" "no, you suck more" flame wars, a complete lack of mindful interaction among the users (either positive or negative), a 123-post Monkey Cage love-in that makes me want to shut the whole place down, and an endless supply of mediocrity.

I don't often blow my own horn, but I contributed plenty, and the recent state of the place kills the impetus to continue. I'm perhaps more confident than Bornyo that a decent Cage can emerge, but it will take more than what I've seen recently.
