I was cleaning out my saved pms and found this golden oldie:
Thank you for your message. The picture is that
of ANTHONY STEFFEN who was from Brazil and went
to Italy to work in spaghetti westerns before
Eastwood went there. Eastwood copied Steffen's
style. Search on google for Steffen's
7 Dollars to Kill, Viva Django, Blood At Sundown
and other films. Now available from Wild East Productions
as DVDs. Leone's Once Upon A Time in the West
is one of my favorites. They can never make such
films here even with all the money they got. Each
100 million dollar film is forgetable nowadays.
Incidentally, one dark night last month I met
Jose Feliciano, or a guy just like him, (I hope
Feliciano is still alive). He is a Puerto Rican
singer, who sang the title song Ole Turkey Buzzard
for MacKenna's Gold. I asked him and he replied yes
and it was the same voice. He is blind and was
with his family members and I was afraid to engage
him in conversation further. Earlier I met Eli Wallach
a few years back.
Sing this song I wrote in tune to Morricone's
title music for Once Upon A time in The West:
Once Upon A Time in the West
in the West
in the West
Once Upon A Time in the West
in the West
in the West
(will send you rest of the lyrics next time)
..
Adios Amigo !
