Helen, aka Punkin, died of a meth overdose because no one cared enough that lived close to her ( in Boise, ID) to try to get the stupid needles out of her arms and help her get clean. She was a beautiful girl who had an illness- addiction- and she died from her disease. Her probation officers and lawyers and judges who got involved in her life when she first got arrested just kept shoving her into jail, and tried a 30 day program. I'm sorry, but it took her longer than 30 days to get addicted to that crap, so a 30 day program would not have been my 1st choice for her. I was in a semi-long term program for 1 year inpatient, and 18 months outpatient, and by the grace of God i have been meth-free for almost 8 years. She should have been put into a long term facility in my opinion, and all the so called legal "professionals" in her life are just as culpable to her death as she is herself

Thanks for the inquiry, backdoorman. I was disturbed when I read electro's post and immediately went on my own inquisition yesterday, however after returning to this thread I found you already did the job! A very sad and depressing ending to one of my personal favorites of this thread (Jenn Towne #1). For a second during my personal inquiry I thought it was possibly a suicide, based upon one of her myspace comments.

Overall it is another tragic tale of life, another one falling through the cracks...living in a trailer doing drugs with no one really doing anything to help. Maybe porn valley would have treated her better than the shitty Midwest.
