Probation Violation can be such crap. The cops were probably hoping to do a catch and release after a knob job. I was once arrested in Brooklyn and was stuck in a piss smelling cell with a junkie. He was picked up on a Probation Violation. But after a few minutes, I realized the real deal. The undercovers that picked him up came by, gave him a smoke and did their best to have him set someone up. They knew the guy, knew he was a junkie, knew he was on probation, and were basically telling him to set some one up or he'd do his 9months in Rikers. They failed at getting him to buy a gun the day before, because the guy selling wouldn't leave his apt. and meet on the street. They eventually got him to call some smack dealer to deliver to a corner. I was out of there by the time they got back, but the set up and the cops plan was so obvious, I'd be surprised if they didn't get the lil junkie killed. Atleast they gave me a smoke too for having to listen to all the shit. Fucking menthol, but after 3 hours I didn't care.
