As long as we are living in a world of hypotheticals, I'll agree that if all students at VTech were strapped the lunatic would likely have only killed one or two before someone shot him. That's a risk I'm willing to take, since it's a whole lot safer than a bunch of drunk kids packing sidearms going into bars and getting into fights.

If schools were free-gun zones (as opposed to gun-free zones) 32 deaths would be an average week.





I disagree... I live in a pretty backwoods part of PA where damn near every other person is carrying a gun, and people are aware of that fact. That's the reason there aren't many gun battles at parties or bars in my area. That's not to say there aren't any shootings at all, but I would wager that the majority of them are by unregistered carriers, or in the seedier areas of town.
