Actually it's the other way around. Kastumi is a really popular name in Japan. Not claiming to be and expert on this or anything, but I've never the name Katsuni before. If you search both names on yahoo.co.jp you get a million results for Kastumi and less than 300 for Kastuni. Just sayin... 
That as maybe, but it only takes one to ask her to change her name, right? Plus, the rarer the name, the greater the likelihood of mistaken identity...just ask Jackie Treehorn's boys.
