From a producer's standpoint, there are some obvious advantages to shooting POV. However Im curious as to how much the viewing public enjoys it, which consequently leads directly to how much it sells. If it doesnt sell well, than its not much good saving money producing it, therefore is it worth it to pay the extra enpenses, for a traditional scene? Since I am not a moderator, I dont think I have the option of setting up surveys. If one of the mods would be so kind as to set a survey up for me, that would be greatly appreciated!! Survey would look like this:
Choose one of the following 3 statements:
1. I love POV porn! I prefer it!
2. I will watch POV porn, but prefer traditional scenes.
3. I hate POV porn, and avoid it!
If the mods dont post a survey for me, then my fellow xpt friends please just voice your opinion normally.

You'd probably be better served going to somewhere like Adult DVD Empire and checking through their all-time bestsellers list...XPT represents a comparatively small proportion of the porn-buying public (or not, in the case of The Fatman, who is neither small nor buys porn), and thus will return a skewed result. I'd recommend visiting a few different sites to get a decent sample of the buying habits...I recently took a gander at ADE's All time top 100 bestsellers, and POV was nowhere to be seen...big-budget features, cheap comps and older catalogue titles seemed to be the order of the day.  As for your question, I'm not a POV fan, especially 'true POV' where the male performer and camera operator are one and the same. Filming and fucking at the same time means your hands are occupied with holding the camera steady and operating the zoom ring, when the could arguably be put to better use copping a feel of Gianna or Sativa Rose's boobs...there's a good reason why God gave women two tits and men two hands, and who are we to question his divine wisdom?

Two thumbs up (well, ok, only the one that isn't busy) for POV Porn.
First, it keeps the stunt cock's presence to a minimum. I don't need to see him groping her tits, I'd rather look at her tits than his hands. The camera is focused on the talent all the time, and that is a good thing.
Second, it increases the fantasy aspect - really helps to put the viewer into the scene.
Thank Satan that the days when having the performer look into the camera was considered unprofessional are past.

i can't see the point of pov porn- so you're meant to think that that's your penis inside the girl? then why is your penis in your hand whilst your spend another night alone?
similarly, from an aethestic perspective: surely due to the angle and the rules of depth perception, the largest object int he frame at any one stage is the erect phallus of a man who is not you? this is advantageous why?

If the scene is shot well POV kicks ass. It minimizes the guy and puts all the attention on the girl. Plus, being that it is a POV theme the girls look at the camera more throughout the scene. POV popshots are great too.

Sadly, the ratio of great POV video to the shaky, in/out of focus, poorly lit, lame slut type is heavily in favor of the latter. That's why I typically avoid the catagory altogether.

I'd say nearly 60% of what is marketed as "POV" porn is crap. It is either not really POV, or is badly shot so that all heat factor is destroyed. There are only a limited number of ways to shoot quality POV but when this does happen the result can be stunning. I am a huge fan of POV porn because every once in a while a movie comes out from one of the guys who knows how to shoot it (e.g. Mike John, Tony T., Mike Stefano, Jake Malone, Everhard) Please refer to This ADT Thread where I list recommended POV movies and later explain some of guidelines of what makes good/bad POV scenes.
