I'm going to have to take the unpopular side of this issue.
Raoul shouldn't have been banned.
Yeah, sure he went nuts Saturday night, squatted down, and blew his rancid diarrhea all over just about every active thread. Sure, a good portion of his posts and replies were pretty lame, too.
If you recall, LouCypher did pretty much the same thing(IMO, a bit worse) a few weeks back and only got put in the box for a few days.
C'mon, give the guy another chance.

I know several of us talked to Raoul in PMs and he came across as an okay guy. I think he spent a little too much time in spat and counter-spat and his targeting system needed a little refining.
There were shades of The Fatman there; the mass of posts, the spats and then The Fatman suddenly 'got' XPT and it smoothed out. I don't think Raoul 'got' XPT.

I have nothing against Raoul, but if Gia thought he sucked ass enough to be banned that's all it takes. End of discussion. This isn't a democracy. Raoul got enough hints from enough people that he should have been able to either fall in line or take a break and quit sucking. The "less is more" credo for posting is what he needs to follow. Posting picture upon picture upon picture as replies sucks, isn't funny, definitely is spam and 9 times out of 10 will get you banned. Going berserk over one critical comment by Dane and posting pics from his myspace calling him a twink or whatever was dumb. He could have gotten away with that stuff if it was funny but it wasn't. In the end a little break from xpt in the penalty box is fitting. I'm sure he'll return, be welcomed and avoid past mistakes.

At first Raoul was PMing me with taunts. When I exposed one of his taunts, he then changed course and was actually being fairly civil towards yours truly. When I said to him here on the board he was trying to hard, I meant it. I disagree with this Moxie J fellow and what Raoul was doing the other night was spamming the board with just dumb pictures. Hopefully he's over it.
BTW, Moxie J, you might want to change your name because we already have a Moxxie here and that would be Moxxie Maddron. You'd better recognize or I hope she kicks your ass.

None of his PM's suggested he (Raoul) was a whack job, he seems a little too eager to please. The replies with pictures only was too reminiscent of smartt. I think the box is a good idea, it's far from the complete banning carried out regularly at ADT, but it allows time for the dust to settle and life here to return to normal (whatever that is).

I'm curious about the PMs people exchanged with R. Duke. Did he initiate contact? If he did, was it something akin to, "Hey, you know what you said in that one thread about that one thing? Dude, I totally agree.", or did people reach out to him in an attempt to cool him off and set him on the right path? I can't imagine anyone going out of there way to get more Raoul, so I figure it has to be one of those two.

Raoul didn't chase me away. I've been up here in Sacramento lobbying to keep porn dollars in the hands of pornographers. 14 hour days just doesn't leave much time for posting my infinite porn wisdom. Check the IP Dan-o.
I do believe banning the guy was a good idea. He really did just suck ass to all of the big hitters on the board. The same "big hitters" who said I was LouCypher, Smelly Monkey, Ghostshadow, Skeeter, and about a dozen other posters. All wrong, I might add. I'm clearly more articulate than anyone I have been accused of being and, to be honest, I just can't step it down a couple notches to entertain an alt.
However, my work here is done for now and I look forward to haunting you all again very soon with the brilliance and insider knowledge that made me xxxpt's favorite new poster.

Raoul is a real kiss up/kick down kinda guy but definately not worthy of banning. He seems kind of lost or something...like a freshman too eager to fit in. XPT is no John Hughes film tho so it is never going to work out well. Hope he comes back stronger than Lou did...It seems that something was lost in Lou when he was incarcerated...I mean besides his Behymen. Grats to Ceara too!
