AIM tests for HIV. But I've never heard of a performer who had to stop performing because of a positive test. I won't ever consider the possibility that it would be kept quiet, cause in this industry that would not pass the giggle test.

Probably not. The way testing is done, you still can perform if you have a current valid AIM test. By the time you get your new results, you could have infected someone if you had the HIV. It takes about 3 days to get your results back. Alot can happen it 3 days.

I vaguely recall they have caught a couple, but it was newbies trying to break in, failing their first test, before doing any scenes.

There have been too few HIV outbreaks in straight porn over the last decade to say how much good any one part of the equation does - random chance would skew the results in such a small sample. *Something* seems to be working.

(keep in mind that AIM did catch Darren pretty quickly ... just not quickly enough ... without AIM testing that incident would have been much, much worse)
