My Cowboys are on the clock with the 22nd in Round one. A bunch of mocks have Dallas drafting a DB, FS or WR.

I wouldn't mind if Tedd Ginn Jr dropped to Dallas with the 22nd pick and after hearing about his pro day work that might be a possibility. The Cowboys are tied with the most picks in this years draft (10). New England has two 1st rd picks AGAIN!!!!! The Jets have 2 2nd picks, 49ers have 2 4th rd picks.

Scott Wright from NFL Draft Count down is a site I trust

Pat Kirwans Mock

5)Arizona - Thomas OT
6)Washington - Adams DE
7)Minnesota - Ginn Jr WR
8)Falcons - Landry FS
9)Miami - Brown OT..do you like this pick Cleetus?
10)Houston - Branch DT
11)49ers - Carriker DE

13)Rams - Anderson DE

15)Steelers - Revis- CB...nice PR skills to go with his game
16)Packers - Lynch RB
17)Jacksonville - Nelson FS
18)Cincinnati - Okoye..Dude is only 19
19)Tennesse - Houston CB... plays mean
20)G-Men - Posluszny OLB solid tackler
21)Denver - Spencer DE/OLB
22) Dallas - Ross DB...I don't mind this pick,,also has PR skills
23)Kansas City - Bowe WR..drops a lot of balls

25)NY Jets - Moss DE/OLB
26)Philadelphia - Beason MLB

Yes Big C. if both qbs are off the board- still not sold on the qbs but I need one badly. OL is a really big need too though. Trent green situation needs to be resolved too before draft.

I am down on Brady Quinn, I've got a bad feeling about him. Maybe he's got some stats that would change my mind, I don't know, it's just a hunch.

I read in the paper today that the Arizona Cardinals will have the easiest schedule in the league.

It's always a mirage with that team.

NFL rumors....If Trent Green gets moved it might be on Draft day. Same for L. Briggs. NFL Raido is also reporting the KC is looking to move Dante Hall. Panthers are shopping Jenkins(DT). He is a massive DT. He was a stud a couple of years ago.

I think Trent wants to play for Fins but Miami does not want to give higher than 6th rd pick for him- now it is a game of chicken as to who blinks first. I hope KC, Green would be good placeholder for younger qb.

Same here, I've watched him and he just seems a clumsey guy to me. I don't like the arm strength either. He had the balls to come out and say he deserves to be the number one pick.

O'Quinn can't be any worse than Rick Mirer. Hall is not the same threat he was a couple of years ago. Return men are like running backs in that once they start to go downhill the grade gets really steep really fast. I would rather the Chiefs go with either OT or DT in the first round. It is a lot easier to get a quality wide receiver in the later rounds or as a free agent (Rod Smith, Hines Ward, Jimmy Smith, Donald Driver, Marquis Colston, etc.) than a quality lineman. The top left tackles in the NFL (Walter Jones, Jonathan Ogden, Tra Thomas, Tarik Glenn) are all first round choices.

As per NFL Radio this morning. Trade seems likely for T. Green. Dolphins would give up a day two Draft pick. If trade goes through, Dolphins may release Culpepper.

Now that would make my day- getting Green and losing Dante who seems like the allan houston of the nfl anymore- just play a game baby.

Hahaha, aren't the Phish supposed to be good every year? I mean seriously, they start off like crap, win a few games when it is too few too late, and make the fans think they will pick up where they left the year before, only to be shit again at the beginning of the next season. Maybe if the fans keep saying that EVENTUALLY they will be right, but not this year, you and the bills will again be in the cellar of the afce. J-E-T-S

Well, i just had to reply to the guy who said it was going to be the year of the dolphins, and mentioned the return of "Up In Smoke" himself.

Hey, everyone picked us to win 4 games last year with no Curtis MArtin, a qb with a twice broken wing, a new head coach in his first HC job, rookies on the O line including the loss of a probowl center, and a brand new defense. Well, 10 wins and a playoff appearance was pretty good al things considered. I think the addtion of Thomas Jones, Pennington with a full off season for once to work on improving and not rehab, some promising O-line guys with a season under their belt, and Vilma and the D with a season of the 3-4 under them will be looking pretty good. The jets will most likely end up with at least one pick in the draft who will be a major contributor. I just can't see another team other then the Jets and Patsies coming out of the afce come playoff time, and I honestly do not think I am being a homer saying that.

Just saw this rumor:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ys-bucsjohnson041607&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

Pretty much means that the Raiders would get the number 4, 35, 64 and 68 picks. That is a lot. They might have to jump on that.

Wow, I don't see how Oakland could pass that up. Just got my Mel Kiper Jr Draft report. Here's his 1st Rd mock. The big difference from Mels to Ourlads is Mel has Adams going #2 to the Lions.

I don't see Adams as a top 5 DE. He's not M. Willams and he's not Peppers. Those are the last two DE that went top 5 in a draft.

1)Oak - Russell QB
2)Lions - Adams DE
3)Browns - Quinn QB
4)Tampa Bay - Jonhson WR
5)Arizona - Thomas OT
6)Redskins - Landry FS
7)Minnesota - Peterson RB
8)Atlanta - Brown OT
9)Miami - Okoye DT
10)Houston - Hall CB
11)49ers - Branch DT
12)Bills - Willis LB
13)Rams - Carriker DE
14)Panthers - Olsen
15)Steelers - Timmons LB
16)Packers - Lynch RB
17)Jacksonville - Moss DE
18)Cincinnati - Revis CB
19)Tennessee - Ginn Jr WR
20)NYG - Staley OT
21)Denver - Anderson DE
22)Cowboys - Jarrett WR
23)KC - Meachem WR
24)New England - Posluszny LB
25)NYJ - Ross CB
26)Eagles - Nelson FS
27)New Orleans - Houston CB
28) New England - Griffin FS
29)Ravens - Kalil C
30)Chargers - Bowe WR
31)Bears - Smith WR
32)Colts - Harrell DT

Here's another mock for Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News). This guy has one of best info on the drafts. He has big time contact with GM's and NFL scounts. He tends to get the first 18 or so picks right every year.

Either by team or the number the player is picked dude is on point. He always does a the morning of the draft. I'll post his mock on 4/27 and we'll see how great his is.

his 1st mock

Cleetus, Gosselin has Miami taking a DT. I don't know but his word is the Gospel. This guy has hit on so many 1st rd picks it's zany. I can't wait to post his mock on Draft day.

I think I want the Boys to take Bowe...I saw where his drops went down this year after he got his eyes fixed. I'm going with Gosselin....

NFL Rumors as per TheBoysBlog.com

The Broncos are eyeing Panthers’ trade bait Kris Jenkins. Denver is also considering Paul Soliai as one option to plug its interior d-line.

– Jets’ GM Mike Tannenbaum downplayed rumors that DT Dwayne Robertson was being shopped. Robertson was a prime Bill Parcells target in ‘03, when Dallas selected Terence Newman.

– The Chiefs are shopping for a RB, apparently in the high rounds. The K.C. Star raises the possibility, albeit a small one, that Larry Johnson could be traded for the right price. There’s that phrase again.

– The Raiders are actively shopping both Randy Moss and Joey Porter. A sign that they’ll draft Calvin Johnson?

In draft news, the Rams are apparently very interested in Ted Ginn Jr.

I think Gosselin is going to be 0-4 on his first four picks. Oakland has done everything but fly a banner over Network Associates Coliseum to announce they are taking Russell. Detroit will take Adams but they will do it after trading down to the 4 slot with Tampa Bay who will take Johnson #2. Cleveland will take either Peterson or Quinn #3. I would say 60/40 it will be Quinn.

KC trades D. Hall WR to the Rams for a 5th rd pick in this years draft. If they got a 5th for Hall, think of what they want for Trent Green. It's got to be a day one pick in this years or next years draft. Carl Peterson is playing hard ball.

Hall's better days are behind him anyway. Last year he spent more time dancing around trying take everything back for a TD instead of trying to get the most he could out of the situation and he has lost a step or two speedwise too. Makes me wonder if KC is going for a WR with their first pick though. Right now their depth chart at WR would consist of Eddie Kennison, Sammie Parker, and a couple of who in the hell is thats.

Right, I think KC might go WR and it might be my guy Ginn Jr. Also heard that L. Johnson is on the trading block. But I think that is more Peterson sending LJ and message. This shit is starting to get lovely

as per theboyblog.com

It’s been a quiet week so far, but I expect plenty of trades on draft day.

The uncertainty about this year’s pool produces a logjam. We know who the top six and the top ten players are likely to be, but nobody knows the order in which they’ll be taken.

The Raiders could go in two different directions. The Lions could go in about a dozen different directions, but they can’t do a thing until they know who the Raiders take. Same for Cleveland, Tampa Bay and every team through Houston at ten; every one of them could move up or down, depending on who’s where.

The Texans want to move down and may deal with Denver, who allegedly wants to leapfrog San Francisco and get LB Patrick Willis. This deal seems plausible, since the Broncos’ MLB Al Wilson was shopped but failed to move because he flunked team physicals. (He has a bad neck.)

The same story says Jacksonville has soured on Reggie Nelson and prefers Texas S Michael Griffin. I’ll believe it when I see it but I’d love a shot at Nelson.

In the meantime, some impressive veterans are being shopped:

– The Chiefs have offered Larry Johnson to the usual running-back poor suspects like Buffalo and Green Bay. Kansas City does not want to pay Johnson a LaDainian Tomlinson-like deal next year. Given that he’ll be 28 and have a lot of wear and tear on his treads, I can understand.

The problem is that no team obtaining him will likely want to pay that type of money either.

– The Lance Briggs rumor mill continues to churn. The Bears claim only one team has inquired about him but I saw a TV pundit last night say that six teams were eyeing the Pro Bowl linebacker. Tampa Bay is mentioned as a suitor and they would make sense, since they play the same Tampa-2 scheme the Bears employ.

– The Rams may land Carolina DT Kris Jenkins.

I got NFL radio fired up...ESPN and 1310 AM The Ticketing going. I'm ready. Here's Gosselin's last mock that's in todays DMN. Lets see how he does....

1)OAK - Rissell QB
2)Lions - Jonhson WR
3)Browns - Thomas OT
4)Bucs - Adams DE
5)AZ - Peterson RB
6)Wash - Landry S
7)Vikings - Hall CD
8)Falcons - Brown OT
9)Phins - Quinn QB
10)Houston - Revis CB
11)49ers - Willis LB
12)Bills - Lynch RB
13)Rams - Carriker DE
14)Panthers - Anderson DE
15)Steelers - Timmons LB
16)Packers - Meachem WR
17)Jags - Ginn WR..NOOOOOOO!
18)Bengals - Nelson FS
19)Titans - Bowe WR
20)NYG - Staley OT
21)Denver - Moss DE
22)Cowboys - Ross CB..I'm fine with this pick
23)KC - Okoye DT
24)Pats - Harris LB
25)NYJ - Olsen TE
26)Eagles - Posluszny LB
27)Saints - Harrell DT
28)Pats - Meriweather FS
29)Ravens - Grubbs OG
30)Chargers - Beason LB
31)Bears - Jarrett WR
32)Colts - Griffin S

Well, he sees a run on WR and LB early. I don't see Okoye falling that far. I also think that's real early for Meachem WR #16 to Green Bay.

WOW!!!!! Dang!!! Cleetus, what the fuck was that about? I mean, man I love Ginn. I'm a big time OSU fan but how do you pass up a QB. Well, you got the fastest player in the draft.

Don't pay any mind to folks that say he can run good patterns and his hands are bad. Ask any scUM, Texas or ND fan about how good Ginn is. He killed all their asses. scUM fans are happy to see has ass leave the NCAA.

But wow, this was the first crazy shit in the draft.

We just took the Browns behind the tool shed. We got their 2nd rd pick this year #36 and got their 1st next year 2008. Which you know is going to be top 5. I LOVE IT. Now I think the Boys go OG, WR or DT in the early 2nd.

Dallas traded their 2nd #36, 3rd #87 and their 5th#159 with Philly to move back into the 1st rd to take Spencer DE/LB. Great pick for the 3-4 OLB. Ware and Spencer are going to catch wreck.

these are my predicted stats for Brady Quinn's career in Cleveland - 9 games started, 6 td's, 10 int's then welcome to the world of 2nd string QB.

I hope I'm wrong because the more quality quarterbacks in the league the better, but I don't see it with him.

Cowboys got a good DE/OLB to put opposite of D. Ware. They also took a OT in the 2nd rd from Boston College. Never seen the dude play but Boston College OL are tough as hell so I'm cool with the pick.

The big deal is that we get the Browns 1st rd pick next year. Which should be super high....All the fans are calling the local sports shows saying this draft was awful....I disagree btw, I done like 12+ hours of the Draft with more to come on Sunday

I am very pleased with Fins draft so long as Ginn's foot is ok. You have any info on that Calm?

He should be good to go by mini camp. The foot can be difficult once it's injured. I've seen guys hold out the entire season foot injuries.

NFL Network is reporting that Randy Moss is to be traded to the Pats for a 4th rd pick in this years draft pending a physical. Fucking PATS.

Thats a steal for the Pats. Randy's decline is a tantrum and does not appear to have anything to do with a decline in ability, he will turn the key to the on position and become a 15 TD machine once again. Randy and Brady is a frightening combo.

And the Pats already added Wes Welker and Donte Stalworth with Kelley Washington as a backup.

Great pickup for the Pats. I think Moss at the Raiders was just being pissed off on being on a shitty team. He should do better with Brady throwing to him.

Goddamn Patriots.

Cowboys don't have a pick until the 6th rd. Here's my take on their draft

1) Spencer OLB - Dude is a beast. Saw him play 3 times last year and he ate up both of the top two OL guys picked this year

2)Marten OL- Never seen the guy play but I like OLs from Boston College. He'll give them depth at tackle

3)Stanback WR/QB - This is a reach pick...You hope to turn him in to Ronald Curry WR-OAK. He's big, fast and has skills. Maybe could have got him in the 6th

4)Free OT - Nice pick All MAC in 05/06. Played 49 straight games in College. More depth for the OL. Both Adams LT and Columbo RT have one year left on their contracts. Both could be gone at the end of the 07 season.

Pats are going to disappoint this year again, they are assembling a mishmash of receivers that may take time to gel. Moss is good but like TO seems to bring negative energy to every team if you give him enough time. Wes Welker is a Pats receiver ( the one good move ). There is now an emphasis on running the psychology of the team as well as X's and O's. Of course they will still be good but won't win it all.

I am pretty excited about what my J-E-T-S did last weekend. With pretty much all the starters for last years 10-6 team returning, and the addition of RB Thomas Jones to sure up one of our biggest problems last season, the Jets didn't need to grab a ton of players in the draft. With our running game situation sorted, we really needed a cb and some players suited to the 3-4 defense. Jets traded up and got the best cb in the draft in Revis, and maybe the best value pick of the draft in ILB Harris. Revis will undoubtedly be a starter from day one along with Dyson which should be a very strong combo, and will likely also handle punt returns to go along with Justin Miller's kick returns. HArris is that big ILB needed in the 3-4 and will most likely start next to vilma. It would have been great to get a little more Oline help, but with 2 first round picks last year in Mangorld and Furgeson, it wasn't a dire need. The new regime in the front office At Weeb Ewbank Hall is different, and with this second draft it is obvious!

Also, the Fins total fuckup of a draft is just awesome! A punt returner with a banged wheel, that is great. Guy sprained his ankle doing an endzone victory dance(!) and will miss mini camp and most likely the beginning of training camp. But even if he was healthy, a punt returner at #9 overall, with Quinn on the board! Looks like another 2 horse race in the afce for the foreseeable future.

Fuck Moss. The Raiders made out well on that one. Motherfucker was made captain and played like the bitch he is. Yeah, the offensive scheme sucked ass but that motherfucker dropped so many fucking passes. I guess that was the bad scheme that caused him to drop all those. The patriots are fucking morons to take that guy. He'll do well for a season MAYBE. The guy can run a 4.3 forty but from what everyone is saying his off the line acceleration is average now. Butkus played on shitty teams, Same with Sayers and they played like pros. Mother fucker got paid handsomely and could have been a leader. Instead he showed what he's about. I love getting a 4th for him.

When you consider what the Raiders gave up to get Moss not that long ago, they got bent over a rock by him. Let's see three years ago he was worth a #1 pick, Napolean Harris, and at least one more player or pick (I follow the Raiders about as closely as I follow the dimensions of my turds) and now all you get for him is a #4 pick. Yeah that Al Davis is a real genious, great fashion trendsetter too.

That's a valid point but being able to unload that much salary is huge. The guy wasn't going to play for Kiffin. He needed to go.
