Holly, I don't think its quite that bad. I know that 79% PASS the NY bar and it is one of the toughest.

James is absolutely correct though. The life style of those that go to a T14 law school (Georgetown being one of them) and those that don't is remarkable. T14 grads are guaranteed a starting comp of $200K and partners average 750k & up in profits, whereas the rest can be making in the range of 50-75K and 200k as a partner. The advice I always give prospective students is if you don't get into a T14, don't go, its just too expensive (50K yr) these days to go to a lesser ranked school.
