This fucktard is still shooting weird 70's porn that no one cares about. In fact his fat and hairy chicks would have slipped under my radar had I not been searching for "Gag Factor" I found a link to his site and this is what I found

Hey, if you don't like it... don't buy it. I don't.
I used to like Ed Powers but I think he's got two problems these days (I typically look at the box covers but don't get em), one... well, we have to see him. Two... too many titles. He needs to find some young buck and get them committed while he just produces/directs and sells. However, make the fans want your product by releasing a little less.
Another person who could use to get someone new to do the fucking... Randy West.

I'll take Rodney Moore over both Ed Powers and Randy West any day,since Rodney's movies at least don't put you straight into a coma,and he at least uses real natural ladies that don't look like overly cosmetic surgery-enhanced fembots(Jenna J. and Houston,anyone?).

One thing I've been curious about: I can't recall one person saying they liked Ed Powers's movies, yet he's got hundreds of volumes and apparently they continue to sell. How does one explain that?

Rodney is in a rut right now, shooting lots of stuff but not really hitting the mark on anything. But over the last decade he's been one of the more original directors and deserves credit for a number of new things. He definitely pioneered the POV genre, and I think was the first to do oral series, and I think strongly influenced Tom Byron in his early Gonzo days. When Rodney worked with Wolf Savage the skits they did were hilarious.
I think Mason got started in porn working for Rodney: You might ask her sometime and she what she says about him.
As for the hairy girls, fat girls, etc: Rodney will shoot just about anything. Some guys like Max or Ed Powers get in a rut and do just one thing, but Rodney shoots anything. Also, Rodney is into the "real girl" thing: he doesn't believe Real Girls look like supermodels and he doesn't shoot that.
I have no idea why he's doing a tranny series. My guess is that he noticed others were doing it and he hadn't, and decided to try it just for variety, and that he's kept it up because it sold. I think that's how the fat girl series started - he did one on a lark, it sold, and so he does more.
I corresponded via e-mail a fair amount a few years ago and my impression is that he's a good guy if a little inconsistent sometimes. I think he prefers to do his own thing which is why he's not with a larger company, or doing things that require larger crews (I bet he still shoots almost everything with no more than 3, sometimes 4, people in the room, including cast and crew).

no, i don't doubt he is a great guy deep down, what pisses me off is when ever he doesnt win he throws a fit and bashes the compitiion like in the specific quote from his site that I posted.

exp buys the same full page colour adds that JM does. I dont think that its fair to say that Gag Factor only won because of add dollars, when they both advertise in AVN.

I used to like most of Rodney's stuff because he used a lot of plain girl on the street types, which I like but he seems to be shooting his mouth off a lot and I don't agree with a lot of what he is saying so I guess he is getting on my nerves too. I would buy his porn anyway however if it improved again.

I can agree with you,jvr,for I've visited Rodney's booth several times whenever he appeared at both the AVN Expo and Adultdex,and while I never met him,he seems to be the type of guy just enjoys being an independent poonmeister without an obligation to a big name label(such as Vivid,Wicked,or Elegant Angel),and isn't so keen on working with major name talent or large filmmaking crews,and isn't the type that wants to bow down to a Joy King or Adella O'Neill,which is what I respect most about Rodney,as well as that he only works with real natural looking girls,and does just about every sex act there is(with the exception of gay male-to-male poon),which is why he lucked in on getting that Exquisite Pleasures deal(when Odyesey Video went under),despite his lack of putting out many titles lately(he's probably taking more time out for himself),for you can't loathe a guy that looks like Howard Stern,and practically lives the dream lifestyle that Howard wished he really had.
