The battle is already lost. Lots of people now have dedicated home theatres and look at the movie theatre as a low culture experience. I have not been to the theatre in the last year (who wants to sit with gangbangers and stick to the floor). Soon enough, movies will be released on VOD at release and the movie theatre will be the province of those who can't afford an HD home theatre experience.
