whoops he beat me to it... yeah a good pal of mine from the punk rock high school days joined up cuz he had no better options...assuming correctly at the time he wouldnt be WASTED in a stupid war. because this was a war of choice...Iraq we had that idiot Saddam totally isolated with no fly zones and sanctions...by taking our troops out of Afghanistan we let Bin Laden escape at Tora Bora (look THAT shit up Gunny fucking history channel bitch) There was NO need to go into Iraq that is established now. He had no connections with Al Quada but we withdrew our forces from Afghanistan and put them there...and not even the numbers that we needed. Now Afghansistan is poised to BLOW UP this spring /summer. It is all just a huge waste of fucking resources that are going to be passed on to our future generations and nothing positive will be shown for it. it is a complete fucking mess and if you can't see that you are not paying enough attention.
