I've argued with Skeeter in the past, mostly when he thought I wasn't singing the praises of his wife loudly enough (or for having the balls to say she had an "off day" in a particular scene with Lex), and I have a different take than a few of you. Max has always been exceptionally pleasant to me at the AEE; posing for pictures, asking if I wanted particular poses with his gals, and trying to hand me copies of his movies. Whether his porn persona of a woman hating bastard is just an act or how he really feels towards them, his scenes convey a lot of anger and give me the feeling that he's getting revenge on some broad that did him wrong in the past. As a result, I don't review his stuff as much as a courtesy to him and being fair as the fact that I'm not into it (I'm sure some of you will be toughening me up in the coming weeks though). In short, Max makes me dislike him when he's "working" (and yes James, I'll still defend him as I did awhile back on the AVN blog for having the right to be that way, even if his work isn't my kind of thing).

Bella, on the other hand, has always left me with the impression that she likes the people she's working with and is trying her best to get them off as she herself does by stretching their respective limits. I don't always like her titles but her porn face seems much like the one she carries with her (we've met a few times over the years here in Houston as well as at the shows). In short, Bella is one of the nicest gals in porn and while not a glamour contract type of gal, is noted for throwing herself into her work and enjoying it without reservation without the need of portraying a hater.

Skeeter himself goes out of his way in his movies (which surprised me repeatedly in how good they could be) to play nice with the women, practically worshipping them on camera before their scenes start. If he started acting more like Max, I have no doubt that I wouldn't like his work as much. It's a shame that he feels compelled to attack people who have a different opinion of what makes for good porn though because his friendly persona as a director is far closer to Bella's than Max's; a fact he may have overlooked in his rant. As far as Everhard and Jordan are concerned, the reason a lot of people like them (outside of the fact that they make some of the longest quality gonzo flicks in porn) is the level of intensity they get from the women; again, real or performed-it doesn't matter since it helps give the viewer something to fantasize about.
