It's an easy way to make initial contact, set up interviews, send questionnaires, discuss shoots and deal with a lot of the other shit I do in order to be able to drink without fear of running up tabs all over town. But seriously, it's a hell of a lot easier than the cellphone and/or agents for the basic publicity sort of stuff.
