Choda, while I was not an Arizona resident at the time of the sightings, I have heard from enough people that I may best address the "flares" issue. Those are flares in that video, and they did appear beyond the White Tank Mountains that night. Not that unusual with Luke AFB a 3 minute flight from the area.
However, the flares appeared (at least an hour) well after the enormous "object" drifted South over Camelback Mountain and the greater downtown Phoenix area.
Now, I've never seen anything of this type in my life, but when you hear about things like this from otherwise solid characters (Symington unfortunately not included ), things start to get spooky. Just sayin'.
