I never really followed the inside baseball on the making of Jenna Jameson. One minute, she was this central casting bolt-on blonde showing up in hour 3 of Wicked comps, and the next she was the Biggest Porn Star Ever. And maybe I missed the nuances, but I have to assume it was all due to marketing because there was never anything in her look or her performances that really stood out to me.

Of course, once she became famous she almost completely disappeared from actual porn scenes. But she did pave the way for Mary Carey, who managed to become one of the world's most recognized porn stars without even shooting a hard-core scene in the first place.

Edit: Jebus. People who want to become bloggers really should learn about organizing their thoughts into coherent paragraphs. Just the sight of that undifferentiated mass of text has driven me to drink (yeah, that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it). At least it wasn't in ALL CAPS.
