Background:
Marilyn Chambers was one hot piece of ass. She was the first real porn "star" to emerge with 1972's "Behind the Green Door," and was one of the few women in porn to ever negotiate pay based on a percentage of a film's gross. But let's face it, the Mitchell Brothers were horrible behind the lens, and her performance was lost amongst seas of bad camera work. Not so with the sex fest Insatiable. Shot in both the U.S. and the U.K., most classic porn freaks will tell you it is one of the best ever, crediting the believability of the sex. It's all Marilyn all the time. Her natural body and nicely-trimmed bush are unique in porn of that day.

Marilyn, like many "classic" porn women, made relatively few films (less than thirty). She flirted around the edges of legitimacy for years, getting extras and some bit parts in low-grade B-movies. Marilyn made a "comeback" sequel of the original {insatiable in the late 80's, however the thing never really took off. She ran as a Vice Presidential candidate in the 2004 election for the Personal Choice Party. Most recently she returned to lead role in a movie called Stash. I only mention this because it will apparently also feature bit-tit queen Chloe Vevrier, and former Saturday Night Live player Tim Kazurinsky. Go figure.

I honestly think the music was reused at least 5 times, with different campy lyrics for each film. Marilyn takes a turn singing one of the porno songs, and sounds pretty good.

Plot:
Sandra is wandering the streets of London with her Aunt while they talk about her fame and fortunes as a model and movie star. The sex scenes are reollections of nymphomaniac Sandra as she gazes at the various sights and sounds.

Review:
This would clearly be considered couples porn nowadays. Honestly, I don't buy the "wall-to-wall sex" angle, there is a lot of material inbetween. The film picks up decently, and yeah, it's a great film. Consider the times from which this came.

The movie opens to Sandra in bed, flicking her bean to a dream, which is actually also the final scene of the film.

That's called "forshadowing."

Scene 1:

Ha haaaa...you knew it would show up!

While driving through central London, Sandra discusses her modelling career with her Aunt, noting some melancholy. Reassuringly, Aunt Victoria notes that it's loney at the top, "but the food is much better, too." (polite English chuckle).

Now we jump to the first fantasy. Sandra awakens from her wet dream to meet with her publicist, Flo. Sandra is already a big successful model, but is up for a big movie role, and due to meet Renee Reynolds who could be her co-star.


I was originally impressed when it said there were lots of helicopter shots in this film, but I kinda backed off when I discovered it was just a rental from the M*A*S*H set.

Other movies that came out in 1980: CaddyShack, Airplane and that incestuous classic, The Blue Lagoon with Brooke Shields. Wasn't she the baby on that Ivory Snow box?

Anyhow, When Renee arrives, we learn Sandra inherited a ton of money when her parents were killed in a place wreck. While Flo runs off to the bank, Sandra and Renee slip into the water for some clam digging.


Serena returns the favor, just about getting the whole fist in there.

Scene 2:

Marilyn heads out in her convertible (1972 Ferrari 246 GTS) for some air, listening to a ripoff the Doobie Brothers' "Listen to the Music."

I like this shot. Others shot in 1980: J.R. Ewing, John Lennon, The Pope.

She encounters broken down motorist Artie, who's late for an important softball game. She offers him a lift, then decided to help him siphon some gas from her tank into his.

While Artie is busy trying to suck the gas out Sandra's GTS, Sandra is busy sucking the nut butter out of Artie's pouch.

Yeah, MC gets's a nice load.

Scene 3:

While Aunt Victoria wonders why Sandra has not married yet, Sandra flashes back to a conversation with her assistant Flo, wherein she retells the taking of her virginity, at the hands of Nick, the family gardener. "Little Miss Cocktease" resists a bit, but it's one of those "dont! stop!...don't stop!" scenarios.

Many consider this one of the great porn scenes. They both manage to stay in some semblance of character and there is some nice smak-talk while they're groping each other's genetalia.

Before long the inhibitions come off and the gardener is planting his maypole first down her virginal birth canal


Then down her throat "Gag Factor" style.

Scene 4:

Actor Roger Adams shows to up meet Sandra. Little does Sandra know that her "personal assistant" Flo and Roger have gone at it before. After dinner, Sandra excuses herself while the old flames get it on again.


Things start slow but build up nicely, until Roger is yanking on her hair like a rodeo cowboy.

Scene 5:

Scene 6:

Continuing to morph from scene to scene, the horny threesome leave Sandra begging for more. What I'm about to say is true, but kind of gross. Remember, this was 1980, this was new ground: the first shot of John Wadd is not of his face, but of his dick. Willie, two things to point out. The Pope was shot in 1981, May 13 to be exact, and Brooke Shields was not the baby on the Ivory Soap box with Marilyn Chambers. Brooke was born in 1966. The soap box came out in 1972. That is clearly not a 5 or 6 year old child Marilyn is holding and it is unlikely that Marilyn posed for that picture with an infant Brooke in 1966.
