My point is exactly that. Yes, I know people in the biz who only have web addresses, but they tend not to be running internationally successful companies.

A domain email address gives you an air of credibility that a web email address does not. It gives the impression of permanence and professionalism. And 20 bucks is not exactly a lot of dough.
