Eye On Adult:
http://www.eyeonadult.com/features/article1375.html"An Untitled Article About the Gram Ponante Assault
I’ve being trying to figure out exactly how I wanted to address the recent, so-called (physical) assault on adult industry blogger/print writer, Gram Ponante.
For the record, I’m not going mention the names of the other parties involved, including the alleged director who had allegedly invited Gram to the set, and the alleged actor that allegedly assaulted him. I, allegedly, refuse to give them the publicity.
As you know, I allegedly called for a media blackout on the alleged actor many, many alleged moons ago. The reason for this, of course, is that I’ve always had the suspicion that the alleged actor in question is so wrapped up in his own insecurities and desperate need for attention that he continues to act out. After which, we award him the attention he so needs to plug the gaping holes in his guts, thereby preventing his inevitable fall into oblivion.
In the case of the alleged director in question, I won’t allow her to profit from her indiscretions. In fact, unless someone at the alleged company the alleged director was working for actually steps up and does the right thing, which would be by publicly admitting to the mistakes made on their alleged set, and making an apology to the entire adult entertainment industry for their conduct in the matter, I won’t be plugging any of their products on EOA.
In case you’ve been under a rock, Gram Ponante was assaulted (mainly shoving) on a set by an alleged adult actor. The movie’s alleged director, a woman with limited experience running a set, not only allowed the alleged actor to stay on, she also asked the members of the press that she had invited, including Ponante, to leave.
So unlike many of you, I’m not gonna sell my soul to the gossip gods for some cheap traffic. I’ve got better things to do. Instead, I’m gonna stand up for what little dignity my profession has and refuse to let half-assed human beings profit from their lack of foresight, integrity, and mental fortitude.
I’d like to applaud Gram Ponante for doing one simple thing that most other people in this business can’t seem to grasp the concept of- doing the right thing by going to the police. In fact, I thank him for it. If anything, this will all likely play out to prove that just because so many of us think we’re bigger stars than we really are, most of us aren’t stars in the grand scheme at all. In our little sphere of influence, it’s easy to let such things go to your head. We’re an incestuous bunch, after all, and often times we forget there’s a real world out there. The alleged adult actor mentioned earlier is the king of this delusion. Unfortunately, for the feeble minded, like the alleged director in question, being told something over and over again can lead other people to believe that delusion as well. It’s that Ziggy Stardust syndrome.
Making love with his ego Ziggy sucked up into his mind -David Bowie
I guess what is so sad is that Ziggy/David Bowie actually was a star. His mystique is virtually unending. A guy like the alleged adult actor, however, is already and will forever be lost in the Hollywood Blvd. gutter between a flyer for a failed rock’n’roll band and discarded syringe. The only ones who will remember him will the a few crazy ex-porn chicks and Tristan Taormino, the butt queen. "
