Skurt exhibits many symptoms of paranoid-type schizophrenia, to wit:
Quote:

Paranoid-type schizophrenia is characterized by delusions and auditory hallucinations but relatively normal intellectual functioning and expression of affect. The delusions can often be about being persecuted unfairly or being some other person who is famous. People with paranoid-type schizophrenia can exhibit anger, aloofness, anxiety, and argumentativeness.

Whether or not he is actually psychotic or if he is just very good at making all of this stuff up, only he knows. Skurt's antics ruin his scenes for most people because he consciously tries to get you to buy into the whole cult of personality. Otherwise he would just collect his paycheck, go home and do whatever. Instead, he pursues stardom like a bull in a china shop. I always marvel when he wonders aloud to writers why Los Angeles is so unfair in underappreciating their greatest citizen? "Under the Bridge" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers immediately comes to mind. Anthony Keidis, like Lackwood, another singer crooning about "his city," but in a much different way, and obviously much more successfully.

Or think of it this wey: why does he react so violently when he's reminded that he is in fact *not* Kurt Lockwood, but another human being all together who invented that name?
