I honestly know that he got enough votes. There aren't THAT many members and that nom was mentioned around the circle.

If there was a question as to whether it was a serious nom, then XRCO, being a voting organization, should have sent out a note to all members saying-

Kurt Lockwood has received enough noms to be placed on the list of nominees for Analist. Which of the following should we do-
ignore the noms,

put him on the list as a nominee,
other

The XRCO members send in up to 5 suggestions per category for nominations. We add these all up and the top FIVE nominated people are placed on the ballot. Plain and simple. In the case of Orgasmic Analyst Lockwood actually TIED for 5th place but, since there are only 5 nom slots and not 6, and his anal scene(s) were nowhere as good as the person with whom he tied...he missed the cut. I gave him an honorable mention simply because it was such a unique situation.

A few of you took this to be something which diminishes the validity of XRCO noms. It is exactly the opposite: the XRCO has a reputation of being totally honest and non-political. The people the members nominate are nominated; the people who win are the winners. Plain and simple. No hedging. In this case I felt it was worthy of being noted - albeit not part of the actual voting - that his name was suggested by so many members.

And remember: Lockwood was NOT put on the ballot to be voted upon (as some of you believe happened apparently). He was given an Honorable Mention. That is all.

Now of he HAD gotten enough to firmly be in the top 5 - he would have been nominated. But he didn't.

I hope this clears things up.

What is/was their reputation before the nom? Other than a few minor issues that they seem to have settled internally, I haven't heard a whole lot of people speaking ill of the group lately.
