You know, Kurt kinda reminds of some kid who didn't fit in with the popular kids during high school. Then on day something happened(maybe he scored the winning point in a sports game, had some kind of wild party when his parents weren't home that people talked about for weeks afterwards, took on of the hot, popular chicks to prom and scored a piece afterwards, take your pick), and he became somewhat popular(but not in the A group of the social hierarchy). Then he got cocky about his new-found social status, until nobody really cared for him at all. Neither his "loser" friends, who he turned his back on, or the "In-crowd" wanted to be around this guy in any capacity.

Yes, Kurt, being too cocky could possibly be your downfall someday. Happens to the best of them.
