Did anyone watch this hapless film? I saw this last night and I've never been more disapointed in my life- except this one time when my cat Chinaski shit on the carpet.
Anyway, this film was overly drawn out; it felt like it was 5 hrs long and most of the time I'm just watching illusonists have a rap battle with one another. Then the last half is something you'd only except from M. Night Shyamalan and his wonderless bag of tricks. Pathetic crap.

Really? What was the source of your disappointment? You don't strike me as the benefit-of-the-doubt type of foilm watcher at all, sir. I'm imagining Rex Rede or that guy in 'Citizen Kane' who panned Welles' mistress' opera premiere even though he spent her performance engrossed by making paperdolls out of his prograsmme.

I suspect every movie made in 2006 sucked.

We've had a couple of good ones that slipped through the accordian since Raising Arizona.

"Elizabeth I" was quite good indeed.

I'm obviously a lemming of Hollywood. It takes a downright aweful movie like Norbit for me to get that disappointed, but I'm not really looking for the next great cinema masterpiece either. Movies for me are just a weekend diversion, I'll probably enjoy "300" even though it may be garbage in the eyes of critics.

It won't be panned. They have it invested. What's life without a little interest eh?

Man I hope you are consistent with regard to 300 because you and I seem to be as divergent as any two people can be when it comes to which movies we enjoy. I really liked The Prestige, watched it last night. First I am a sucker for anything with Bale in it and I am not a mark for magic so I can't rate the magic sequences but the film was very entertaining and keeps the twists coming at all times. Plus any movie that incorporates Tesla in it is an automatic positive

Not yet- I am falling behind in my asian cinema due to lack of trips to chinatown. Those asians can make some real freaky films.
