I don't see any reason to move bigger than the 100 x 100 standard. I've seen boards with big avatars and they look funny. They distort the page proportions and distract from the high calibre discussion.

What I'd like to see is a way to automatically upload a pic into the message pane, instead of cutting and pasting the link and inserting the image tags manually.
