The favorite coin of my collection is a Judean shekel made from a restruck Roman or Syrian silver coin by the zealots during the "Jewish War" dated with the year 1 in ancient hebrew characters (as opposed to those in use now). That year would most likely coincide with 66 AD.


The most valuable would depend on the auction hammer.

1. Double stater gold piece in perfect condition minted under Alexander the Great.

2. Uncut sheet of unissued South Carolina currency from 1774. Odd denominations and the last two notes are mis-numberred by hand (forgot the lead "1"). The notes are only printed on one side - which was intended.

3. The famed 1937-D 3-legged Buffalo nickel MS-64 NGS certified.
