You're probably right, but for the most part, that was a good crash test. I was expecting the thing to explode like a Pinto or something. Personally, I couldn't drive a car that small though... not a fan of small spaces at all. The gas milage is good, around 40mpg, but my SUV gets around 25, plus I can carry 5 passengers, and cargo.

If this little buggy got around 80 miles the gallon, you might get a bunch of tree huggers from Portland to use it around town to run errands, but that's about it. At 40 mpg, there's not enough distance from some of the other offerings to get any market share. This thing is doomed in the States.

I think it really depends on how they price it. Around this area, the poorer folks and a lot of people living in the city tend to drive Chevy Cobalts or Ford Focus'. They're cheap, and get relatively good gas milage. Something like this might be right up their alley. I have no clue whether it'll actually take off or not, but it seems like the market is there.
