Maldini you hit it SQUARE! One of my favorites is the UN "Sword/Plowshare" which people only remember Isaiah.

Isaiah 2:4 "And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war."

Being an asshole I always declare that a fallacy and counter with:

Joel 3:10 "Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, 'I am a mighty man.'"



But, it's not the "religion's" interpretation, it's the person who has declared himself sole interpreter of the text that yells HERETIC!
