From the original piece on Luke's site which started it all: "Aside from the minority of people who are just born happy, I don't understand how people can be happy without organized religion."

How ironic. I don't understand how people can be happy within an organized religion, conforming to a set of doctrines written thousands of years before they were born, many of which can't even be applied to life in the 21st Century.

But back to the matter in hand:
Bottom line, Luke, you crossed a line and now you're wheedling and back-peddling like a man on a unicycle. You claim that your piece was meant to be much wider than 'just' Holly.

That tells us one of two things: you're either a liar, or an even worse writer (who couldn't get his ideas across coherently) than many of us suspected.

So which is it, Mr Ford?
