i've actually been turned down for insurance due to panic disorder..... you make 40 ER visits in one month.....

That's a reality. Because I'm disabled if I lose my insurance, I'll never be insurable as an independent again. So I cling to it - though with the 10%+ increase it will pass $500/month come March.

one of the biggest reasons i support the guvernator... that whole "nobody is uninsurable" thing is promising.

The worse part of my situation is that I have to pay for doctors to ignore me when i DO have something wrong because they see two words on my chart.

2 years ago i went to a hospital in Woodland Hills because I could barely breathe and had bronchospasms... they told me i had a cold and to go home. The next night i was worse and drove all the way to Northridge for a second opinion.... They didnt have my charts and upon a mere visual examination rushed me to a room and hooked me up to an albuterol nebulizer... yelling "why did you wait so long for treatment... another few hours and we would have to intubate you!!!"

And people wonder why hypochondriacs don't trust doctors half the time.

Last night was another example... i've been sick... i went to get an antibiotic, doctor says "your fine"... i woke up this morning and could barely breathe... turns out the other day when i choked on a peice of grapefruit while laughing i aspirated some of it... and ended up with aspiration pneumonia... i am now on proper antibiotics for it... it only cost me the price of two visits.
