Can you call to check on an individual's test result? I had assumed that the tests had a unique ID number, and that you would could call AIM and read that ID number along with the name, test date and result, and they would confirm Yes/No if that combination of name, test date, result and unique ID matched.

In this scenario AIM is vouching for the authenticity of the document and never giving out any test result.

Another possibility is that there is a waiver signed when getting a test. Or, perhaps AIM just doesn't realize that there really are federal medical privacy laws.
