I figured Windsock for a Satie fan; I think he posted the French crossdressers doing one of the Gnossiennes. The Kenny G saxophone improv in the clip really sucked, but I don't think I've ever heard a version for anything but piano that didn't come across as second rate. The frauleins in saris aspect was OK though.

For me Satie is about precision and simplicity, and thatâ€™s best demonstrated in hearing them in the form in which he wrote them. Even Debussyâ€™s arrangements of the Gymnopedies, written by a friend and collaborator, come off as a classic case of gilding the lily. Get a hold of a copy of Aldo Ciccolini doing Satie; damn close to perfection.
