As a lawyer I have worked for a couple of different firms in my career before having my own firm. Each firm has different clients. Those companies were clients of the firm I was working for but I did represent them through my work with those firms. When I moved to a different firm those clients stayed with their established firms.

I never "chose" being in the industry. I was asked by several friends who were already in the industry to represent them. As I realized the complete lack of attorneys in the industry I decided to develop that aspect of my practice further. The majority of my firm's business remains mainstream clients. Im lucky to be at a place where I can now chose what I want to do not what my partners want.
