YES!!!! It actually was Cheney along with Wolfowitz and the rest of the Neocon Clique who instigated this war and persuaded our Dolt of a President, G.w. Bush, to make it happen.

G.W. Bush is not smart enough to be a Neocon, even though the perception is that he is one. The Neocon clique includes a guy by the name of Eliot Cohen, who I actually had as a Professor for a couple International Relations Classes at Harvard. He was a visiting professor for 2 seperate academic years in the late 80s and early 90s, normally he teaches at the Naval War College. The dude was scary, melding Sun Tzu, Clausewitz and Jomini into a type of "war is Good when done right" stew that went down easy enough when you are 19 years old and impressionable (as well as hungover during class.) Mr Cohen, Like Vice President DICK and Wolfowitz, Never actually saw combat himself...that's what makes the Neocons (and all these wonks at places like the Brookings Institute, Rand and other think tanks) so scary: They make policy recommendations based on theory, with very little practical first hand experience on their part (at least as far as war is concerned.)

Seriously, we have our nation's foreign policy being created and put forth by groups of people NOT accountable to the American Voters. Our ELECTED officials swallow the recommendations of these groups like a whore in a gokkun video, and it becomes policy. Something is fucked up about that....
