You make an interesting point. Ironically, just like the Iraq war, choking to death is an unnessecary loss of human life.

However, a better analogy would be if Bush and Cheney were standing next to your grandmother, jamming chicken bones down her throat as she struggled to get away.

Is your point "lots of people die, so what difference does a few thousand more make"?

Didn't roughly 3000 people die in 9/11 - isn't a corollary to your argument "why should Americans be pissed about 9/11, more than 3000 people choke to death every year?"
