yeah, you definitely gotta put away cash... the only bad thing is those of us who did build a nice cushion... and now its being drained away. Kei lost 5k in shoots this month. she didnt work in the first half of the month cause the second half was booked with these big feature projects. im only making about 1-1.5k a month right now working regularly. we are trying to find some ways to make up for some of that big hole in the savings. (solos, soft, g/g, dancing etc.) fuckin HIV

Last night,I saw Evan Stone in a truly awful vampire movie,that being Fred Olen Ray's erotic-filled "Haunting Desires",where Evan was the lead vampire baddie,and he openly displayed his porn roots in his love scenes.
Otherwise,doing DTV/cable softcore genre films might be the temporary way to go for everybody in the industry(and desperately needs to pay their rent) for a while until the smoke fully clears on this HIV issue.

I wonder if the performers did have some sort of fund set up, like a union fund in case of a strike, who would watch over the money. You know in the end there would be some sort of trouble over the money and where it went.

I think everyone likes the idea of a union when they need it, but when it comes time to pay union dues I would be shocked if everyone offered up a percent of each check.
I am also really shocked that everyone is crying broke already, a bad g and c would keep you home this long and I would be shocked to find a performer who has never suffered through that.
I feel bad for the lighting guys and the make up artists. and for crying out loud the drug dealers.
I worked for one week before this all happened and I can sit on my ass for the next 2 months.
it is tragic and rough but the lost income for me is the smallest of my worries.

I am pretty sure that damsel in distress bondage wil not be affected. I just came home to pittsburgh. I am gonna chill out till its all settled. i was really lucky that I was not in more direct risk. I shot 7 scenes while I was there. (I think)

As for blood: it is the ideal medium for transfer. Almost all disease agents are optimized by evolution for blood.
