Ever heard of Cowboy Troy. We signed him last year. Big & Rich produced the CD. Also had a major run on CMT for Nashville Star. His music is called Hick Hop...(yeah)

That's funny, no I haven't heard of Cowboy Troy until now.

So... when Big & Rich signed him, did they make him go to a trailer park, and sing country in front of white people, to gain their approval? Did they make him carry around a watermelon, and hand out shirts that say "I Love Black Country Singers"?





Kind of..They took him on tour and he open for them. So he DID have to gain respect of the Counrty music fan. Not sure how hard that is..but he did.

Then they let him sing/rap in the hook of one of their songs. Then dude had the lead song for ESPN's College Game Day this year. From there he got the gig on CMT.

He lives in Dallas. Very bright kat. Went TU and has a degree in marketing...used to bounce at some local clubs here...Anway, Hick Hop is spreading ...we'll see how long the shelf life is...
