Gen, you make a good point.

Actually, you make a very good point for mandatory condom use.

The LA Times has a story today in their first section about how the state is ready to demand just that.

Mandatory condom use might send some productions to Canada, or elsewhere, but like I said, all the porn industry in LA needs is a really good lawyer to solve that problem.

You levy huge taxes on shoots for videos made in foreign countries, which offsets the cheaper labor.

Thus, if Red Light District shoots in Canada, a tax is levied on that product. All a good lawyer needs to do, with lobbying in Sacramento and Washington, is to get a teriff tax passed.

For instance...

If Red Light shoots in Canada, proper papers must be filed showing they shot in Canada, and an import tax, that is, a teriff, is added into the price of the product, which is passed on to consumers.

With a high enough teriff, the overrall price of a video shot in Canada will make the price of the DVD higher than one shot in LA.

It's all about lobbying.

You're right about viruses, for now.

It does take longer to detect some viruses RIGHT NOW.

However, testing technology is moving along at a fast clip.

If condom use is made mandatory, a company that comes up with a new DOSTAR product will make millions, and have the incentive to create one. That is, if companies have to shoot with condoms, even for a short time, the incentive for invention will be HIGH.

If I were in the testing technology field right now, I'd be working 24 hours a day to make a full panel test that can give results to all STD's in a couple of hours.

The company that comes up with that solution will become INSTANT MILLIONAIRES.

If you have any friends who make tests, call them.

I bet they're excited.

In the mean time, condom use will be mandated, and porn lawyers will be preparing lobbying strategies.

Sure as fuck wish I knew enough about creating tests to be in that field right now.

Testing technologies, as of yesterday, just became a fucking GOLDMINE.
