Of course, people do create productions in other cities using Avids and cheaper HD cameras...but the bulk of the production stayed here.



Then whats all this noise I hear about people going to Canada for cheaper shoots? Labor laws aren't as tough as CA, the dollar is worth more there, etc.

I know that is hurting many locations around the country that used to do well outside of la. It has to be hurting in LA, in fact, if I remember right, I think I read some of the tech people to get work even started working on porn films because there was work.
