Yeah. I ticked her off a bit with a joke about cooking "Ben the Bunny" where I displayed a gruesome severed bunny head.

Actually, I am quite fond of bunnies. My little brother and I once found a baby rabbit on the side of the road that was was hit by a car, and the vet said don't waste your time.

My brother fed it like an improvised oatmeal mix of his own devising with an eyedropper, kept him in a towel to keep his body temp up, and cleaned his substantial wounds twice daily.

He slowly recovered.

That little bastard was smart enough to continue to fake a limp to keep on the gravy train! We caught him because he liked to run around and play fight with the cat. Little "insurance" scammer!!

After about two months we took him in a box in my newspaper basket to a field around the place he found him. He was so excited when he smelled the place he was going crazy to get down to the ground. We let him loose and he took off, looked back once and was gone.

We cried all the way home.


Waste of time really. Though it took like 25 years, it's all strip malls now ...
