Linksuspect in an Arlington double homicide has been arrested in Mississippi, Arlington police said Friday.
Charles Reynard Dickens, 26, was taken into custody Friday and faces charges of two counts of capital murder for a shooting Dec. 15 at the Grand Manor Apartments in the 600 block of Grand Avenue.
Leon Williams, 23, and Stefferon McNeal, 25, were found shot to death in the apartment complex parking lot.
Arlington said they believe that Mr. Dickens killed the two men during an argument and then fled to Mississippi, where he has family. Relatives in and near Greenwood, Miss. could not be reached for comment Friday afternoon.
Arlington police contacted the U.S. Marshals Service and law enforcement in Mississippi to help find Mr. Dickens.
Detectives are investigating whether the argument was drug-related.
Details about exactly where Mr. Dickens was arrested weren’t immediately available. He was being held Friday afternoon in the Leflore County Jail in Greenwood.
