It seems like a good portion of the AWOP Forum is dedicated to topics on professional sports. I was just curious to how many who visit here really could care less about who wins the World Series/SuperBowl/Stanley Cup/etc. Not knocking on anyone who does enjoy watching a good game on Sunday afternoon, just trying to see who isn't a sports fan.

Ha...should I be starting a bunch of Ivy League sports threads? 
I'm starting my 29th seasaon playing hockey. I prefer collegiate hockey to the pros, but not much of that shows up on Phoenix cable. Speaking of which, I'd like to take this time to remind Burg and James that Harvard is not even ranked in the NCAA top 20 in hockey... and are tied for 9th in the ECAC.

I don't believe I have ever sat through an entire sporting event on TV. Nor have I ever read an entire article in the sports section of the newspaper

NFL kinda bores me because there's so much stop and go and during the down-time it gets old and boring to hear all the old men yapp away when I'd rather see the big boys run around with a ball. College football is more entertaining to watch, the players seem to have more drive and there's less yapping of the old yappers. Rugby used to be fun to watch. The brutality of it all was always great to see. But overall, I rather be playing.

Not me. I loved playing them and still watch them to this day. I played football, baseball, volleyball and was on the track team. Today, I do jujitsu, muay thai, boxing, MMA and just started judo.

No, but the Steelers were the dominant team when I started watching football as a 4 yr. old.
