there's a scene in, i think universal max 2, that makes me squirm a bit.

Max's entire catalogue makes me squirm. I choose not to watch it.

This is part of a much larger argument about the freedom enjoyed by 'extreme' pornographers, Jeff included. The idea of Rob Black winning the Sturman award and then looking for supporters for his case... this is a man who, like Max, made what the average Joe would regard as deeply disturbing. He flicked the bird at the entire industry and counted his cash. And when the shit hits the fan, the rest of the industry is supposed to rally round?

Max's movies sell. Someone out there is buying them. It sure isn't me. He would tell us that he's selling a fantasy. Jeff may well say the same thing. The really worrying bit is the fact that there are a lot of producers out there who see the next step as being hurting the girls, really hurting them physically and mentally, and that's what the 'mainstream' porn biz is concerned about.

If we don't like Max Hardcore, we don't buy his stuff. It's easy free market stuff, and I've covered Economics 101 before on this forum. I'm not going to justify Max, Jeff or Rob Black's product. The people who do that are the consumers who buy or rent it. And as long as people do that, there is no argument against any of them.
